Linda Lin_English

At the heart of listening to plants

At age 40, Linda Lin experienced an epiphany in her life. Formerly employed in public service, she had had a beautiful and promising career as a public servant. However, she had always had a life-long passion for beauty, the love of misshapen stones, and dead wood. According to her favorite thinking, she collected many pieces one-by-one; pieces that today reveal to us the strong taste of their owner, and all these can be admired in The Nest of the Sparrows. For her, life is revealed in different forms on a daily basis. For example, by carefully preparing a sweet potato and arranging it well, she can obtain a beautiful plant ornament. In autumn, when she eats a pomelo, she reflects on its use; and while collecting the pips, wonders how to cultivate them ... and this has been going on for forty years. For forty years, she has used different methods to grow seeds so that they can flourish in beauty. She has been able to promote simple ornamental office plants on the art scene. What is commendable is that it has made this art available to all and has made it useful. Plantings have the ability to purify the environment, soothe our spirit, and allow us to understand and learn from their life lessons. These splendors of nature captivate the eye. In order to convey their beauty, this horticulturist has been trained in precise photographic techniques and shares about a hundred seed and bonsai shots in her book, thus allowing us to discover the green and Zen universe of her world, created by her very hands. In addition, the miracles of these tiny plant lives have touched several writers, who by their poems, have praised their beauty and eulogized their emotion given.
